Honoring the late Carolina Panthers player and coach Sam Mills and current player Mark Fields, the Keep Pounding Fund will benefit cancer research in our community. 100% of donations to this fund will be directed to help advance cancer research programs at Carolinas Medical Center (CMC).

Carolina Panthers Sam Mills and Mark Fields, both of whom were diagnosed with cancer in 2003, established the Keep Pounding campaign, which received nationwide recognition. The campaign featured sales of $1 wristbands bearing the slogan “Keep Pounding” and has raised more than $211,000 to date for local research efforts at the Blumenthal Cancer Center at CMC.
